Wklejam list i zasady oraz opis. Prosze o dokladne przeczytanie. PROSZE O POTWIERDZENIE KTO ZOSTAJE NA KAMPINGU NA NOC Z SOBOTY NA NIEDZIELE!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen
With 3 weeks to go, please find attached further details about the Nottingham Volleyball Tournament to assist you and for you to distribute amongst your teams.
For those travelling from afar (and not camping over the night before) I will remind you that registration of your full teams is required before 9am on the day (coffee available in the bar).
For your information, this year sees an increase in teams entering the tournament (full capacity), so I’m hoping the competition will be even better. You may be pleased to hear that due to holiday commitments, last year’s winners (Melton) have decided not to enter a team and so you have everything to play for. Additionally a junior tournament will be run alongside the adult mixed, please try your best to impress them with your skills and talents.
Date: Saturday 9th June 2007
Time - proposed: 8am-9am (team registration)
9.30am-6pm (tournament)
6pm-7pm (final)
7pm onwards (party in the clubhouse)
Location: Widmerpool RFC, Nottingham, NG12 5PU
Contact Details: Organiser: Adam Chippendale

· (e) nvt@thevolleyball.net
Directions:
Easiest way to find the venue at Widmerpool is to find the roundabout that connects the A46 with the A606. Head along the A606 (Melton Road) towards Nottingham, about 300m from the roundabout turn left down Station Road (you will go past The Pullman Inn) and over a small bridge. Go to the bottom of this road (about 1 mile) and turn left at the T-junction. Take the road as it turns right, take your first left and the RFC gate is to your right.
Widmerpool is so small that it should be impossible to get lost in it. Look out for the rugby posts as an indicator. Please note that some SatNavs direct you to the wrong side of the RFC. Access can only be gained via the arrow indicated in the above map.

Weather:
- Unfortunately we cannot determine what the weather will be like on the day, but the tournament will go ahead rain or shine. Only in extreme conditions will a decision be made to postpone matches, but hopefully it won’t come to that.
Child Protection:
- This year the tournament will be hosting junior teams. As such, we ask all teams to abide by the English Volleyball Association Child Protection Policy. Full details are available if necessary; however in summary we ask that any person wishing to engage in any photography should register their details at the organiser’s desk before carrying out such photography. Please make your team aware of this.
Licence:
- The Nottingham Volleyball Tournament is a licensed event (number 191) via the EVA and is covered by Public Liability Insurance.
Sportsmanship:
- The tournament strongly encourages sportsmanship throughout the event. The tournament is for everyone’s enjoyment, and fun should be the theme of the day. Anyone not having fun will be deemed to be a miserable git and will not be invited next year. Be considerate to others and if there are any issues please bring them to the organiser’s attention.
Volleyball:
- Courts to set up on the right-hand side of the 2nd field (adult tournament) and on the 1st field (junior tournament).
- Teams are required to register before 9am on the Saturday morning.
- Teams are required to provide at least one match ball for their games.
- Teams are placed into groups of 5 or 6. Groups play matches over two courts. You will be required to referee opposition games on one court or across both at the same time – please take note when allocated your court rotations on the day.
Match Rules (adult):
- Each team must have 6 players of which must include a minimum of 2 ladies on the court at all times. Exception to this rule is where a junior player (under 15) replaces the role of a lady player. This exception is at the discretion of the organising committee.
- Except for the final, all matches consist of two sets of 15 minutes each. Between the two sets teams must change sides.
- The rally point system will be used in all matches of the tournament. A serve that touches (the top of) the net is correct.
- The team at the right-hand of the referee has the first service.
- Beginning and ending of the sets is announced centrally using a horn.
- The rally played during/after the horn to end the set does not count.
- Each set starts with a 0-0 score and doesn't end at 25 points, because we will play on time.
- If a team is more than 5 minutes late for a set, that team loses the set by 25-0. The second set will be played, if the team has arrived in the meantime.
- If a team fails to referee a match and/or on time, a point penalty will be applied to the teams overall score (which will be decided by the Tournament Committee).
- A team earns 1 point for each set won and half a point for a set ending in a draw. So the possible final scores after two sets played are: 2-0 / 1.5-0.5 / 1-1 / 0.5-1.5 / 0-2.
- Except for the final, time-outs are not allowed.
- The final will be played between the two teams with the most tournament points. In the event of a tie, places will be decided on scores accumulated during the tournament.
- The final consists of normal sets till 25 points (with the Rally Point System and a 2-point difference) and best of three sets. In the third set 15 points must be scored.
- The referee can disallow rude play.
- With the exception of the rules above, standard FIVB rules apply.
- No protest against the decisions of the referees is possible.
- In case of doubt not captured by the rules above, the Tournament Committee decides.
