The little boy ask his father what politics is.

The father comes out with a few examples:
- Listen, son. I earn the money, so I am the 'capitalism'.
- Your mother looks after the money, so she is the 'government'.
- Your grandpa makes sure everything is alright, so he is the 'union'.
- The baby-sitter is the 'working class'.
- And we are all working together for you, the 'people', to feel alright.
- And your couple-of-months' old little brother is 'our future'.

The little boy listens carefully, then goes to sleep. At night, he wokes up as his little brother has filled his nappy and is crying. He gets up to let his mother know, but he can't wake her up because she is fast asleep. He goes round to the baby-sitter's room but then notices that his father is busy with her in the bed, while the grandpa is peeping them through the window. No-one notices him, so he goes back to sleep.

Next day, his father asks him if he could tell in his own words what politics is. The little boy remembers the night before and recounts:

- Politics is when capitalism exploits the working class, while the union watches them passively. The government is sleeping, no-one pays attention to the people, and the future is in the shit.

All tragedies are finished by death; all comedies are ended by a marriage (Bayron).
